The Explorer Academy

This 16 week Academy takes place in the summer on Saturday mornings, at the California Baptist University in riverside. Explorers are required to meet several different criteria to successfully complete the program and graduate.

 

The Explorer Academy is a discipline Academy that focuses on physical conditioning, reading, writing and comprehension skills, as well as interpersonal communications. The explorer training also includes technical training utilized by everyday Police Officers. Explorers test in classes/ and must participate in training such as Firearms training, less lethal weapons, Domestic Violence, Penal Codes, Vehicle codes, Defensive tactics, Grooming/Dressing standards, Jail tours, Building clearing, Ped checks, Corners office tour, and other law enforcement related classes. Explorer Advisers and Explorer Drill Instructors staff the Explorer Academy.

 

The Explorer Academy is challenging but rewarding, explorers will have a graduation ceremony and graduation party that is worth all the hard work.
