• Ages 14 to 21

• No major criminal records

• Cannot be on probation or parole

• Be enrolled in High School or College

• Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA​

• Be able to attend Weekly meetings

• Participate and complete assigned research,

       memos and reports

• Comply with the Riverside Police Department

       grooming, uniform and behavior standards.

• Must serve 8 hours of community service with

      the Post each month

• Must be able to arrange transportation to the weekly

      meetings or events

• Have good ethical character with no negative police contact (this is not a youth criminal diversion program for mandated community service)

• There is a substantial time commitment for our program. Explorers attend meetings once a week every other Wednesday night from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This is critical, please note this requirement as it may conflict with other activities and attendance is mandatory.

• Wear the Riverside Police Explorer uniform with pride, be willing to learn and work in a team!
